Looije Group chooses Viscon as strategic automation partner for new production location

Berlin, February 4, 2026 – Looije Group and Viscon Fresh Produce signed an agreement during Fruit Logistica for the realization of a new, highly automated packaging location. With this project, both parties are taking the next step in the professionalization of packaging logistics, aimed at structural labor savings, higher processing capacity, and fully data-driven control of operations.

The signing took place at the Viscon stand and was carried out by Charlotte Langerak-Visser on behalf of Viscon and Piet Looije on behalf of Looije Group. With this collaboration, both organizations are committing to a long-term vision in which scalability, predictability, and return on investment are central.

 

Response to structural challenges in the sector

The fresh produce sector is under increasing pressure due to staff shortages, volatile volumes, and increasingly stringent requirements from retailers and customers.
