About PapriCo

PapriCo is a partnership of quality sweet pepper growers who have worked together under one brand since 2012. Together they grow green, red and yellow bell peppers on almost 100 hectares. Growers United handles sales, marketing and packing, and supplies PapriCo peppers to retailers across Europe. The growers can therefore focus fully on what they do best: growing.

To support this growth, a new, highly automated packing facility of 10,000 m² was built in Zwaagdijk, in the north of the Netherlands. It processes tens of millions of peppers a year. At that scale, crates, products and pallets have to keep moving without interruptions.

One system controlling the whole flow

When many machines and processes work side by side, central control is key. Viscon Logistics Control links all automated equipment into one system. It coordinates material movements, works out efficient routes and plans the order of tasks, from goods receipt through processing and storage to dispatch.

VLC acts as the link between the business systems and the work floor. It connects to an existing ERP or WMS and integrates equipment from Viscon as well as from third-party suppliers. Real-time monitoring and KPI dashboards show at any moment what is happening in the operation, and full traceability tracks every product through the process.
